Surgical Notes Launches Improved SNChart Transcription Management Web Portal
New version of leading client portal for ASCs accelerates reimbursement, further simplifies use, and delivers actionable insights
DALLAS – Surgical Notes, a nationwide provider of revenue cycle solutions, including transcription, coding, revenue cycle management, and document management for the ambulatory surgery center (ASC) and surgical hospital markets, announces the launch of a new and improved version of its SNChart® web-based transcription management portal.
SNChart, Surgical Notes' proprietary technology platform, automates much of a surgery center's manual, day-to-day transcription operations. Users can dictate, receive, review, edit, sign, and archive operative reports within one integrated platform that can be accessed from multiple endpoints, including smartphone app, web browser, and phone call. SNChart provides complete data integrity from start to finish by offering full integration with all major ASC practice management systems.
The new SNChart web portal includes exciting additions and significant enhancements of existing features which help surgery centers complete their required documentation and receive payment faster.
Noteworthy changes to the SNChart portal include:
- New dashboard functionality that provides color-coded status indicators to identify workflow priorities, reports that provide insightful data, and global search capability
- Streamlined design and navigation
- Simplified user experience
- Enhanced security policies
- Expanded search and sort options
- Compatibility with all browsers (e.g., Chrome, Safari, Edge, Firefox)
- More consistent look and feel with the SNChart mobile transcription app
The relaunched version of the SNChart web portal went live in October 2018 and is already in use by surgery centers and thousands of users nationwide. Since its launch, users have experienced a reduction in their average turnaround time from date of service to when an operative report is signed and ready for coding of more than 40%. Users have also expressed their appreciation for the portal's impressive dashboard features, cleaner interface, and intuitive design.
"Prior to moving forward with the SNChart portal redesign, we performed a competitive market analysis," said Nathan Hess, chief technology officer for Surgical Notes. "We saw an opportunity to differentiate ourselves from other transcription service providers by delivering a more modern design and easier-to-use application with insights that help users make measurable business decisions."
"The results witnessed in just a few months are extremely gratifying for our project team," Hess said. "They strongly support our fundamental belief that creating user-centered solutions that quickly highlight areas of critical action for our users is core to our customer success as well as the success of Surgical Notes."
There is no additional cost to Surgical Notes clients for the new version of the SNChart web portal.
