Surgical Notes Names Healthcare Industry Veteran Chuck Meisel as VP of Sales
Meisel brings extensive experience in ambulatory surgery center market
to rapidly growing company
DALLAS – Surgical Notes, a nationwide provider of transcription, coding and document management applications for the ambulatory surgery center (ASC) and surgical hospital markets, announces that Chuck Meisel, formerly a senior sales leader at Poplar Healthcare, Owens & Minor and ProVation Medical, has been named Vice President of Sales. Meisel brings more than 15 years of healthcare sales experience to Surgical Notes.
At Surgical Notes, Meisel will use his expertise to further develop the sales organization. As the leader of the sales organization, he will be tasked with hiring, developing and mentoring a nationwide sales team committed to providing solutions that cater to clients' specific needs and helping strengthen relationships with existing clients. These solutions include ScanChart, the ASC industry's leading chart automation and document management solution, SNChart, web-based transcription and management system, and SNCoder, full-service coding and integrated coding platform.

Meisel most recently served as vice president of business development and vice president of sales for Poplar Healthcare, a physician-owned pathology laboratory services company. Prior to joining Poplar, he was a sales director for medical-surgical distributor Owens & Minor, vice president of sales in the ASC division of health information technology company ProVation Medical, ASC sales director and national accounts director for McKesson Medical-Surgical and national accounts director for medical and pharmaceutical company B. Braun Medical.

Meisel received a Bachelor of Arts degree from Furman University in Greenville, S.C. After graduation, he served as an Infantry and Special Forces Officer in the U.S. Army, serving in Operations Desert Storm and Provide Comfort.
