TOM STAMPIGLIA
Tom Stampiglia is the president and chief executive officer (CEO) for Surgical Notes, a Surgical Information Systems company where he has served as CEO since 2015. Mr. Stampiglia has over 30 years of healthcare technology experience. Previously, Mr. Stampiglia served as CEO at Origin Healthcare Solutions, a revenue cycle management and analytics solutions provider. He also served as CEO at Medical Present Value and President and Chief Operating Officer of WebMD’s Practice Services Division, where he was responsible for the company’s physician practice management, electronic health records and electronic claims solutions. Earlier in his career, he served as President of the Software Division at Checkfree Corporation and held various management positions at Lanier Worldwide, Inc., including General Manager of Lanier Healthcare. Mr. Stampiglia has a B.A. from Georgetown University.
John Spiller
John Spiller leads Surgical Notes’, a Surgical Information Systems company, finance team as chief financial and administrative officer. Mr. Spiller brings over 29 years of finance and business management experience to his role. Previously, Mr. Spiller has held financial leadership roles with Origin Healthcare Solutions, SunGard Data Systems, Allscripts, Accenture, and Lante Corporation after beginning his career with Arthur Andersen. John is a Certified Public Accountant and holds a B.S. in Accountancy from Northern Illinois University and a Master of Business Administration from Northwestern University’s Kellogg School of Management.
Nathan Hess
Nathan Hess is the chief technology officer (CTO) for Surgical Notes. Mr. Hess has 17 years of experience in various information technology (IT) leadership roles, working across different sized organizations such as Perot Systems, Dell Services-Tenet Healthcare, Dell Services-Stellaris Health Network, Dell Services-Triad Hospitals, Dell Services-MedStar Health, AIG, and DaVita Rx. In these previous and primarily healthcare-focused engagements, Mr. Hess led small, U.S. teams of highly experienced architects to large, global IT teams located across the world and operating on multi-million-dollar budgets.
Mr. Hess earned his Bachelor of Business Administration from Texas Tech University with a major in management information systems and is currently pursuing his Master of Business Administration from the University of Massachusetts’ Isenberg School of Management. He lives with his wife and family in Prosper, Texas.
Nate Kiely
Nate Kiely serves as chief strategy officer (CSO) at Surgical Notes, a Surgical Information Systems company. He works closely with ASC management companies who are responsible for large groups of surgery centers. He brings service, product, and industry expertise to his role in ensuring that the SIS solutions are industry leading and solving our client’s toughest challenges. Mr. Kiely is a results-driven strategy and sales leader with a comprehensive record of achieving growth objectives within the healthcare industry.
Prior to this role, Nate was the chief revenue officer (CRO) for Surgical Notes. Mr. Kiely previously served as the vice president of sales for Intelligent Medical Objects, a healthcare data enablement company. He also held the role of chief revenue officer at iMedX, a company that offers a suite of high-value revenue cycle management solutions that include data analytics and business intelligence, clinical documentation, outsourced billing, and medical coding, as well as the vice president of sales for Ingenious Med, who offers a point of care revenue cycle solution for physicians.
Mr. Kiely received a Bachelor of Business Administration in Information Systems and Business Intelligence from Georgia Southern University. He resides with his wife and their three children in Atlanta, Georgia.
Hilary Sondik
Hilary Sondik is the executive vice president of operations for Surgical Notes. Ms. Sondik has over 20 years of experience in revenue cycle operations leading large U.S. and global teams and creating a culture of results-oriented solutions. Prior to joining Surgical Notes, Ms. Sondik served as senior vice president for customer operations at R1 RCM, an end-to-end healthcare technology revenue cycle provider for large health systems where she helped customers maximize revenue.
Ms. Sondik received her undergraduate degree from Michigan State University and her Juris Doctor from Case Western Reserve University. She resides in Zionsville, Ind., with her husband and son.
